here comes another parenthetical portion in Revelation. This one is between the sounding of the sixth and seventh trumpets, and it is the only thing remaining that is to be sealed and is to remain a mystery. At this point, the earth is 3 ½ years into the tribulation. Keep in mind that after the seals and six trumpets about one half of the earth’s population has been destroyed. The wrath of God with its judgements has been relentless.

The book of Revelation to many is untouchable and they just can’t get their heads around it. It is avoided. Or it is so full of mystique and it is thrilling. It can also be overcooked. It should revered in balance; it should be understood. There is no doubt people move closer to the fulfillment of these prophecies every season. With eyes open, one will recognize how much this study is for today.

Are We Nearing the End of the World?

Paul tells us in the New Testament that no one knows the exact hour of the Lord’s return.This would include Armageddon and Earth as we know it. After all the destruction, a New Earth will be born for those of us who escape the unquenchable fire. While the “mystery of lawlessness” is certainly about us, before the world comes to an end, according to Paul in Thessalonians and Timothy, the “lawless one” must be revealed. He hasn’t yet. And those who have “fallen asleep” will be taken. We are still here.
